Improve Madison Water: Dispose of Meds Properly

June 3, 2010 at 1:23 pm Leave a comment

You know how sometimes you open up your medicine cabinet to find a large number of your medicines have long expired?  How should one dispose of such things? This Saturday, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is hosting a medicine collection event at three different locations in Dane County: Madison, Middleton, and Sun Prairie.  If you can’t make it to Saturday’s event, the next one isn’t until October. Don’t despair (and don’t flush them; all of those medicines go straight into our drinking water)! Check out the MedDrop website to find more info on how to properly dispose of your unused medicines any other day.

Hope you’re enjoying the weather and clean water,

Melissa
